Selected Poems

Water and Light

gentle rain
on the leaves
of the box elders

gentle glow
from the fire
in the stove

i am happy

i want nothing
but for others
to know the happiness
of wanting nothing
but the happiness
of others

under the bridge
the steady music
of the river

beyond the clouds
the light music
of stars
