Poetry Reading: Matt Cook

Richard Meier

Richard Meier is the author of three books of poetry, most recently In the Pure Block of the Whole Imaginary, published in 2012 by Omnidawn. He is writer-in-residence at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin and lives in Madison, Wisconsin, where he is being part of the school of daily life, in which he is joined by James Fishman-Morren, Lisa Fishman, and Henry Morren.

There are signs

I don't really identify with

but I am a "useful

companion."

Five sunflowers

what was that

about everyone having their own

sun? A dream

someone explaining

the implications of a theory there

was a person

with a sun over his head

and
