Youth Workshop with Emily Igwike at East Library *IN PERSON*

This workshop features 2023–24 Milwaukee Youth Poet Laureate Emily Igwike

This Youth Workshop will be held in person at the East Branch of the Milwaukee Public Library (2320 N. Cramer St.) More information on the MPL website—drop-ins welcome!

This hybrid generative and editing poetry workshop is open to youth poets ages 13-19. Participants are encouraged, but not required, to bring existing poems to edit, share, and workshop with the group. Emily will highlight editing and revision techniques to reimagine or give new life to existing writing. The workshop will also serve as an info session for students to learn more about the MYPL program.
